The freezer compartment can last much longer, typically up to 48 hours if it’s full (and around 24 hours if it’s half-full). In warmer climates, these durations may be shorter, so it’s best to minimise door openings.

The right size comes down to your household needs. For smaller households of 1 to 2 people, a 200L to 380L refrigerator usually works well. A family of 3 to 4 may need something in the 380L to 530L range for extra storage. Larger families or those who store food in bulk should consider bigger models to ensure there’s enough space for everything.

Inverter and no-frost refrigerators are better for handling power fluctuations, as they maintain cooling more efficiently when power returns.
