This air conditioner spreads air in four directions, not just one. The vents move both up-down and side-to-side, so the room cools evenly, without one cold blast landing on whoever sits underneath.

The compressor runs at variable speed, so if the power supply dips, it just slows down instead of switching off. It's rated to handle anywhere from 150V to 285V.

Golden fin condenser

Turbo mode
One button for the worst of the heat.
Turbo runs the fan and compressor at full power, to cool the room down fast when you walk in. You switch back to normal once it's cool. The button sits on the remote, next to sleep and the timer.

Which capacity do I need?
Capacity is the only thing the four options change. The 9K delivers 2.64 kW of cooling, the 12K 3.50 kW, the 18K 5.20 kW and the 24K 7.20 kW. Oversizing costs you more to run without cooling any better. The 24K is listed at over three times the 9K's annual consumption.
Will it run on an unstable supply?
It is rated for a 150–285 V inverter range, so a sagging supply slows the compressor instead of tripping it. The unit itself is specified at 100–240 V / 50 Hz.
How loud is it?
Between 43 and 51 dB indoors depending on capacity, and 54 to 57 dB at the outdoor unit. The 9K is the quietest of the four indoors.
What refrigerant does it use?
R32, which has a global warming potential of 675. The condenser is coated to resist rust. That matters most for an outdoor unit in humid coastal air.
