The hob carries four gas burners and two hot plates side by side. If the gas cylinder runs out mid-cook, the electric plates keep going, so dinner doesn't stop for a cylinder change.

The oven cavity carries a lamp fitted inside it. It lights the food while it cooks, so the inside of the oven isn't dark when the door is shut and you check on something through the glass.
